"Trowsers, - except for men of ordnance, sky blue kersey; sergeants with a stripe of dark blue worsted lace, 1½ inches wide, corporals with a stripe ½ inch wide of the same kind of lace, down and over the outer seam of the legs, of the color of the facings of the respective corps. For ordnance sergeants and hospital stewards, stripe of crimson lace, 1½ inches wide; privates, plain, without stripes.
